SecureVision
As a National Finalist in the Conrad Challenge's Cyber-Tech & Security category, SecureVision addresses public safety with innovative surveillance technology. Our team developed SecureVision, an intelligent binocular visual surveillance system designed to reduce crime and improve safety in high-risk areas. Through field research in communities impacted by high rates of sexual harassment, we identified key issues, such as the inability of traditional surveillance to capture critical moments or angles needed for law enforcement. SecureVision’s selective face recognition technology and proprietary depth-calculating algorithm transform standard 2D coordinates into actionable 3D data, empowering security personnel to respond efficiently and capture clear, precise evidence.
The system’s practical applications extend to public transit, commercial centers, and government-operated spaces, where it provides a proactive solution for incident detection and real-time alerts. Leveraging YOLO-Pose and a self-developed algorithm, SecureVision captures movement and alerts victims through SMS or virtual calls, offering opportunities for safe escape. With an easy-to-conceal, adaptable design and competitive pricing, SecureVision presents a feasible, high-impact surveillance option, blending privacy considerations with advanced security.
